PROJECT 2
FARNSWORTH HOUSE
In this project, students are going to produce 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawings using orthographic projections, axonometry and perspectives in three phases manually and continuously. The purpose is to explore manual projection methods in architectural drawing emphasizing on architectural conventions, symbols and line quality.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROJECT:
To introduce design communication skills through architectural graphics.
To develop skills in visualization and communication of architectural idea, space and form.

In this project, I used hand orthographic projections, axonometry, and perspectives to construct 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawings of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House. During the workshop session, I learned the skills required to create drawings. I used the drafting abilities I learned in the tutorial exercises to create an architectural design with the necessary architectural drawing rules, symbols, and display of organization with suitable formatting and presentation style. Finally, all previous draft drawings were inked on paper to practice line weights.
